Bio

Passion Remains has recorded and released their album Stars Within Reach that was originally done back in the late 80s. All original members replayed their parts with modern technology and released it worldwide on May 1, 2022. The original name of the band was Passion, but to avoid trademark issues, we renamed the band Passion Remains.  80s rock to the max.  The album was recorded at Radical Sound Company in Catlettsburg Kentucky. The band is originally from Flatwoods because that’s where we practiced in the 80s. 

Lead singer Alvin Bonney has also played the local cover scene for many years in his band Nivlla Red.  He recently played in two tribute acts that played at the Paramount Arts center where he was Vince Neil of Motley Crue. Then he was Axl Rose of the Guns N’ Roses tribute.

Mick Bryan is lead guitarist. Also a veteran of the local music scene most notably with the band Tantrum. He also has another band called Four Skulls, which has opened for the likes of BulletBoys, Enuff Z’ Nuff, Firehouse, Geoff Tate of Queensryche, Saving Abel, Sponge, and Puddle of Mudd and also has an album released. Four Skulls played at the Paramount opening for the Motley Crue Tribute and Mick played Slash in the Guns N Roses tribute. 

Duane Crisp the bass player has also been in several bands with Mick and Alvin. He was an original member of Tantrum and is currently a member of Four Skulls and Passion Remains and opened for the same bands mentioned above. Duane is also a classically trained pianist which he put to work on the Passion Remains album. He also played piano on Home Sweet Home with the Motley Crue tribute at the Paramount. 

Kyle Virgin - Drummer with love for all genres of music relocated to Columbus Ohio in 1991 and went on to play in various original bands including Oney, EZ Thrill, The Vague, SupaFreak(now Xfactor1) and LiViD. After multiple original bands playing the Columbus music scene including Alrosa Villa(opening for national acts) and others, Kyle decided to go the cover scene route. Kyle currently plays for RadioTramps for the last 10 years playing all over Ohio doing all your favorite Dance, Pop, Rock radio hits from the 80’s to current.
